As a member of WiCC, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is proud to have hundreds of community partners in a significant number of its academic and university programs working with students in service learning projects, internships, and practicums. Working with community partners is a primary focus of UWSP’s strategic plan The Partnership for Thriving Communities.
UWSP is particularly proud of the partnerships developed through a regional information technology alliance. Under the direction of Dr. Tim Krause, chair of the Computing and New Media Technologies Department (CNMT), UWSP is involved with the Central Wisconsin Information Technology Alliance (CWITA). The mission of CWITA is to attract, train, and retain an exceptional information technology workforce.
