Civic Action Plan Implementation Retreat

Implementing Your Civic Action Plan:
A Retreat for Chief Academic and Student Affairs Officers and Civic Action Plan Implementation Teams

Thursday, July 27 – Friday, July 28
Location: Edgewood College, Madison

Edgewood College President Dr. Scott Flanagan welcomed the group
For the Civic Action Plan signatory campuses, WiCC hosted a free Civic Action Plan Implementation Retreat specifically designed for staff members from the chancellor’s / president’s offices, Provosts / Chief Academic Affairs Officers, Chief Student Affairs Officers, and select members of the campus Civic Action Planning Design Team.  Participants were able to network with other chief administrators from across the country who have leveraged their positions to advance community engagement projects on their home campuses.  This interactive workshop allowed campus teams to consider strategies for leveraging upper-level administrators to implement their plans. WiCC is also providing mini-grants: Civic Action Plan Implementation Grant Application 2017-18 to help signatory campuses move their implementation work forward.
