2018 Civic Action Academy

Registration is open for the second annual Civic Action Academy.
This is a unique professional development opportunity for students interested in learning new ways of making a difference and building skills through civic and community engagement. The event will be held November 9 and 10, 2018 at Drake University in Des Moines. Students from across the Midwest and beyond (undergraduate and graduate) are invited to learn from professional across sectors. Sessions will offer skill-building in civic action including philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, dialogue, advocacy and more. Students will also have a chance to learn what others are doing on other campuses and network with peers.
Mike Draper, this year’s keynote speaker, owns RAYGUN, headquartered in Des Moines with locations in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and Kansas City.
Students, staff, and faculty from Campus Compact member institutions can register at a discount for only $25 per person using the code “iaccmember.”
