Overview:Â This will be an informational webinar to a) present to the stakeholders racial equity as an actionable public health imperative through a research based and historicized context and b) promote the Action Space at the 2018Â Healthiest State Summit. The webinar will define racism, connect health outcomes to roots of racism, and discuss institutional power and individual responsibility.

Speaker: Monique Liston, PhD, Ubuntu Research and Evaluation Dr. Liston founded UBUNTU Research and Evaluation as a space to hold Black women’s leadership in living, learning and loving towards Beloved Community for Black people and the world. She is a proud HBCU alumni of Howard University. She obtained her Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee researching the dignity of boys and men of color in Milwaukee, WI and developed the Radical Accountability for Creating Equity (R.A.C.E.) through Dignity Framework as a process for organizations to deepen their commitment towards equity in their day-to-day operations.
